‘Shifting’ presents a fusion of the traditional archetypes of the business suit and comfortable, leisurewear silhouettes. This fusion stems from the contrast of inside and outside. Due to quarantine and the move from workplaces to living rooms, the lines between professionalism and comfort are blurred. Individuals are now able to push the boundaries of ‘professional dress’. This capsule collection seeks to take an intuitive approach towards our changing social climates. Expressing the feelings of comfort and isolation, and being overwhelmed by freedom. Through striking, avant-garde pattern design, textures from ‘inside’ and ‘outside’ are contrasted to communicate the fluctuating emotions of individuals during these times.
